Approximately 500-550 students from the Twin Cities
compete with science project displays and science research
papers in the Twin Cities Regional Science Fairs.
We
send at least 20% of our student competitors to advanced
competitions at the state, national, and international levels. Doing
a science project teaches and exercises cross disciplinary
skills in reading, writing formal research papers, art &
graphic design, math, statistics, computer science, critical
thinking, logic, ethics, scientific methodology, research
skills, the power of self discovery, general project planning
skills, and public speaking including presentation of results to
professional scientists. Doing a science project results in
students who are
practiced, skilled, self confident, and competent young leaders
who have career goals and the preparation, discipline, and drive
to attain them.
