Eligibility
Information
Any individual
student or team of two to three students in grades 6-12,
currently attending any school (including home school) in
Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, or Washington County can participate.
[Students who attend school in Anoka County participate in the Central
Regional Science Fair in St. Cloud.] You can participate in both
the project (grades 6-12) and paper (grades 6-12) competitions.
Each student can enter one individual project display or
enter as a member of one team project. In addition, a
student may also enter one research paper that may be
on the same topic/experiment as the project, or may be on a
different topic. Team papers are currently now accepted at the
Twin Cities Regional Science Fair.
Entry fees for TCRSF are
$20 per student per event. ($20 for individual project or paper,
$40 for an individual entering both a project and paper;
$40 for a two-person team entry and $60 for a three-person team
entry for either team project or team paper. If
electricity is requested for the project competition, the
electricity fee is $5 per project (not per person) and is not
refundable even if you do not use the electricity at the fair,
because we have to do the wiring for the project whether or not
you use it. There is no electricity fee for the research paper
competition.)
Note: the signature date is the
date of project approval, not the date of signature.
